Team History and Awards
Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK), located at 529 Academy Way in Knoxville, Tennessee, fields athletic teams known as the Warriors, sporting royal blue and gold colors. The school has established itself as one of the premier private school football programs in East Tennessee.
The Warriors football program has an exceptional championship history with four state championships (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019) and nine championship game appearances. The program holds a championship record of 20-11, demonstrating consistent excellence at the highest level of Tennessee private school football. The back-to-back-to-back championships from 2017-2019 represent one of the most dominant stretches in recent Tennessee high school football history.
Team Highlights and Star Players
Championship Success: CAK won four state championships in 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2019, including an unprecedented three consecutive titles from 2017-2019. The program has appeared in nine championship games and maintains a winning tradition in Tennessee Division II-AA football.
National Record Holder: Davis Howell holds the national record for high school receptions with 358 catches. Howell was a key player on two of CAK’s state championship teams before continuing his football career at UT-Chattanooga.
