Team History and Awards
William Blount High School, established in 1979 in Maryville, Tennessee, fields athletic teams known as the Governors, sporting blue and orange colors.
The Governors football program has made 14 playoff appearances with a championship record of 4–14, including years such as 2024, 2019, 2016, 2015, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1997, and 1991. While the program has not yet secured a state championship, it holds an all-time record of approximately 155–283–0 (about a 35 percent win rate) over 43 seasons, with a district record of 95–185, home record of 39–62–0, and away record of 37–74–0. Their best season on record includes nine wins in 2007.

To support local youth high school football programs, OEB Law donates a $1,000 check every week to different Knoxville area high schools and we sponsor the championship games!
