Team History and Awards
Alcoa High School, located in Alcoa, Tennessee, is home to the Tornadoes, proudly wearing red and white. The football program is one of the most decorated in Tennessee, holding a playoff championship record of 104–14 and dominating the state for decades.
The Tornadoes have captured a state-record 23 TSSAA state championships: 1977–1979 (Class A), 1989, 2000, 2004–2010 (Class AA/AAA), 2013 (3A), and an unprecedented 10-year consecutive streak from 2015 through 2024 (Class 3A), the longest active streak in Tennessee history.
With an all-time record of 652–251–18 over 98 seasons, Alcoa stands as a powerhouse in Tennessee high school football. The team has produced multiple Tennessee Titans Mr. Football winners, including Lineman of the Year in 2010 and 2015.

- Randall Cobb (WR, Class of 2007): 13-year NFL career (primarily with the Green Bay Packers), over 7,500 receiving yards and 47 touchdowns.
- Shannon Mitchell (TE, Class of 1990): Former NFL tight end for the San Diego Chargers.
- Billy Williams (WR, Class of 1992): Played briefly for the St. Louis Rams in 1996.
- Eli Owens (TE, Class of 2025): Committed to the University of Michigan; highly regarded for both blocking and receiving.
- Brandon Warren (TE, Class of 2006): Played at Tennessee and Florida State.
