Team History and Awards
Carter High School, established in 1915 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, fields athletic teams known as the Green Hornets, sporting hunter green, white, and black colors. Located in Knox County, the school has a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
The Green Hornets football program has experienced several successful eras under different coaching regimes. Most notably, Coach Heath Woods led the team from 2002-2013, compiling an impressive 59-42-0 record and guiding the Hornets to multiple back-to-back region championships. The program has consistently competed at the Class 4A level and continues to be a respected competitor in Tennessee high school football.
OEB Law LOVES local High School Football!
To support local youth high school football programs, OEB Law donates a $1,000 check every week to different Knoxville area high schools and we sponsor the championship games!
